YES!

My job here is done...

The FF Project 2009 from Jaime Colon on Vimeo.
Well I'm at work so I can't check for errors so I'm crossing my fingers hoping there isn't any mistakes.
It should be 14 mins long.

All done!

Uploading...

as expected...

The first rendered result is a failure. None of the transition effects were in the video and it was in fast forward for some odd reason.

I'm now restarting the computer and attempting a reencode.

yes dogs:

It's encoding at the moment. It still needs to be double checked for errors, and all that other stuff. But yes, it's done and I'm pretty content with the result.

It's pretty "messy" and random. It's also very noisy and visually stimulating. There are overly obnoxious clips with awesome underlying subtle elements to it. There is so much to appreciate in this video that, viewing it only once won't do it any justice whatsoever. So please, when you give yourself a chance to watch this video please take the time to really separate yourself from whatever you're doing and give your full attention to the video. Listen carefully to everything and watch for all the random awesomeness that this video holds.
Much time was spent on filming, and capturing, and converting and all that other nonsense so doing this is the least you can do for Hilary, Devon, the rest of our FF family and I.

Most of all, I must thank Hilary for being the amazing camerawoman, trick supporter, girlfriend, and well; my overall little caretaker through this whole period. I've been coming home from work and neglecting her and some of my responsibilities to complete this project. There's been times that I left home late at night to film and train with the team, and not spend anytime with her.
=T
She's been cooking me up awesome meals and holding down the household and keeping the team together and keeping my mind focused on my projects. =)
Devon deserves a big amount of credit and praise as well. He's also responsible for hours of footage compiling and session arranging. He trains regularly and has that never ending enthusiasm for the team. He also often offers to lend a helping hand with whatever I may be having trouble with. So without saying much more, I can say that this project wouldn't have existed without him and his "fire".
He is a great guy, and it's great to have a good friend like him...

As for my other furious brothers, I must thank you guys for being that awesome eccentric bunch of guys you are! I also thank you guys for giving me respect and coming through for me when I need it. It's like whatever I ask you guys for, you guys always deliver the goods.
=)
You guys are an awesome group, and you'll always be important to me.
I know I've been through a rough stage in my life these past two years, and I must say you guys have supplied me with so much to overcome my troubles, plus you had the patience to wait it out and help me through the dilemma. None of you guys skipped out on me and that means a lot.
Devon, Justin, Ryan, Trevor, Sean, Christian, Tony, Wong, Andy, and David...
Thank you so much for being what you are and being a part of this. You guys make me proud beyond words. I can promise this year will be good for us all~
I <3 FF

news tidbit:

I did some pretty neat editing to the video last night before going to sleep. Today I don't have anything going on when I get out of work so I'm pretty sure I can complete the video by tonight. Pl
ease keep in mind that I'll still need to render and encode the video and then upload it. If all goes well I'll supply a download link that will be good by mid day tomorrow.

shimata...

Well you know life is pretty good when a privilege feels like a chore...

I'm at work wishing I was elsewhere. At the same time glad that I have a stable well paying job.
I'm still conditioning myself and working on the ff project. I can't wait to finish it so I can get back to Hilary and clean up my pc.
On that note I want to devote a huge thanks to Hilary for being understanding of my wishes and for supporting my tricking. Also she loves the team, and made a lovely female version of the ff shirt!
She is, without a doubt the best woman in the world.

Also... Andy's newest sampler is awesome!

ANDY

Here is some Andy and FF made of blocks:

SHIET!

Its 3pm, I've been awake since 8ish am working on the new ff video. So far I have 13mins of _roughly_ edited material. I predict the video will run 16 minutes.

Its all sequenced individually so the tough part is cleverly sticking the sequences together to make it flow nice.

Man, this project sure is a pain in the ass but Im sure the team will love this!

oh my...

The ff video is insane! Still much work must be done to it. Just know this project is king and it'll be worth the wait!

Devon...

Yeah Devon to answer your question you can train at the dojo if need be, anyday...
Just like after 9pm is best.
I hope you and the team and get together and do up a good session. And Devon, but of course get some good footage with your camera~

Zoookizoom for now, I'm off to edit land.

Monday, February 16, 2009

Yo guys...

I'm just letting you guys know that I'm taking a quick break from tricking for maybe a week and a half or so. I'll be getting back into it hard in early March. I want to rebuild myself, and work on my strength and flexibility.
If you still want to train at the dojo at 9pm on Mondays and Wednesdays just give me a quick call and I'll put you in contact with my father.
:)
I also have a ton of footage I'm editing at the moment so if I attend a session and record more I'll just be putting myself into a deeper hole- HAHA~
I must complete this project, currently it's going smooth...
A huge thanks to Devon for the capturing efforts!

kitteh cats

Pumpkin: She was our first cat, we got her from a co-worker of mine, because one of her cats had kittens. She could not find anyone to sell the kittens to, so she gave one to me for free. She was about 2 months old when we got her. =)
She is a polydactyl tortoishell. (a cat with a congenital physical anomaly, with more than usual number of toes on one or all of its paws as a result of a cat body type genetic mutation.)

She loves to play and hide around. She makes a lot of spaceship noises and eats a ton of food. She loves taking naps with us and sleeping with us at night. She also loves getting treats for scratching her post. And yes, she loves paper and plastic bags. She's strictly an indoor cat...

Peanut: He was our second cat we got, from the mspca. He was such a nice guy, he was a year older than Pumpkin, and very tiny. And also very quite. He developed a neurological disorder that really did a number on him, so we decided to put him down. It was really hard on us and Pumpkin... Not much more to say except he was an awesome cat, and Pumpkin's best buddy~

Nieman: We had this cat for like 2 days... He had a rough past. We thought we had the patience to deal with such a cat, but was mistaken. Pumpkin was not liking this fool too much. And often he'd hiss at her. He weighed about 30 lbs, but was running all over the apartment, making all sorts of loud noises. He would've been awesome if we had our own house, and if we didn't have another cat. But yeah, he didn't work out in our setup so I brought him back to the mspca. I really felt bad for that, but it wasn't working out. This nigga' did chinups on my clothes rack... seriously. He jumped from my bed onto the damn clothes rack, and did a full chinup-> then released and fell on his neck. It was insane!

Archimedes: He is the latest addition to our family. VERY energetic cat, very playful, greedy, but yes he is very friendly. We call him meadies or meats for short. We also got him from the mspca. He has all different kinds of noises he makes. They sound funny, sometimes he sounds like he's forming words. Him and Pumpkin play fight all the time. It took them along time to warm up to eachother, but they finally like eachother a lot. They do everything together...
